AYS Gives world premiere of "Earthsongs" by Michael Mauldin

The Albuquerque Youth Symphony, under the direction of Gabriel Gordon, will give the world premiere of "Earthsongs" by Composer-in-Residence Michael Mauldin on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. at Popejoy Hall.

Albuquerque Youth Orchestra gives concerts!

The AYO, under the direction of Sayra Siverson, will give a free concert on Tuesday, February 2 at 7:00 p.m. at Albuquerque High School.

The program will appeal to audiences of all ages, and includes selections from "Carnival of the Animals" by Saint-Saens, "Comedian's Suite" by Kabalevsky, and "John Henry" by Copland. The Carlsbad Community Chorale will perform "The Bells," "Ave Maria" and "Festive Sanctus."

Admission is free.
