AYS Playathon

WHAT IS THE PLAYATHON?

  • The AYS Program's mega-concert at Cottonwood Mall on Saturday, February 4, with six of the AYS Program orchestras playing during the afternoon.
  • A month of hard work by all AYS Program students, asking people to make (tax-deductible) donations to the AYS Program, Inc.
  • An opportunity for students to go out into the community and let people know about the AYS Program - and invite them to come to our concerts.
  • A way of continuing to offer the AYS Program's musical activities.
  • An opportunity to play a concert for a large, appreciative audience, who might not otherwise know of the AYS Program.

WHAT IS THE MONEY USED FOR?

  • The Playathon funds help pay for the costs of running the program including: the rental of sheet music, outreach tours, concert venue rental and instructor salaries.
