JO Students and Parents:

There are a LARGE number of JO students who consistently arrive early enough to be ready for our 9:00 downbeat…that’s GREAT!

Please remember: between JO rehearsals, each member should be practicing his or her JO music at least four times for at least 20 minutes per time. If at all possible, practice with a metronome!

Practice Priorities for the Upcoming Week:

Chaconne and March (see excerpts below; Chaconne at 76 beats per minute; March at 96)

Finale (the entire piece; 112 beats per minute)

Siyahamba (the entire piece; 112 beats per minute)

As always, enjoy the excerpts you can play well, BUT be sure to practice your challenging excerpts MORE

Be sure to have your instrument, music, pencil, and a tuner (if you own one)
