YO Students:

Awesome rehearsal Monday night! Thanks for your hard work and for staying focused when were doing the slow tedious work on Romeo and Juliet. We made some good progress.

Our goal is to play through everything on next Monday’s rehearsal and we MUST record Russian Sailor’s Dance. Please spend some time on Intermezzo and Down a Country Lane. The Intermezzo has moments of incredible beauty.

Slavonic Dance is coming along nicely but we need to start really working on clean releases and dynamic contrasts.

Russian Sailor’s- focus on VII to the end

Romeo and Juliet-132 (the development section) still needs the most work. Work slowly to clean up the 16th passages….again strings spend some time at 90 to fix intonation. Bravo winds 185-200. Thanks for coming in early the past couple of weeks and thanks for making that chorale so amazing!

Have a wonderful week and keep practicing. The short cut to getting better is practice!
