The tuition that families pay to participate only covers approximately 32% of the cost of our operations. The remainder must be raised annually through donations, grants, ticket sales, and fundraising events. The AYSP Board of Directors, in collaboration with staff, have organized a fantastic fundraising opportunity that also promotes our new signature fundraising event, the Burque Derby: A Kentucky Derby Bash.
AYSP is raffling off a once-in-a-lifetime Kentucky Derby package for two that includes: two tickets to the 2017 Kentucky Oaks (Friday, May 5, 2017), and the 2017 Kentucky Derby (Saturday, May 6, 2017) with food and beverage service; roundtrip airfare to Louisville, Kentucky from the Albuquerque International Sunport; and hotel accommodations for three nights in Louisville, Kentucky.
This afternoon, your student will be bringing home a Parent Letter and an Opt In/Opt Out Form which needs to be completed and returned at the rehearsal on Saturday, January 30th. We will be distributing raffle tickets and instructions next week at rehearsals to the students who have turned in their form indicating that they are participating in the fundraiser.
