HIGH SCHOOL TOUR – TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 10 (REQUIRED)
As indicated in your registration materials, AYSP high-school ensembles will be performing at an APS school this season. This is REQUIRED for all students in the Youth Concert Orchestra. This year, the Youth Concert Orchestra will be performing at Eisenhower Middle School. Date: Tuesday, November 10 Report Time: 7:30am Location: Eisenhower Middle School in the new gym – 11001 Camero Road NE
Cross Streets are Spain and Juan Tabo - Phone number is 292-2530 Directions: If you are heading North on Juan Tabo, go two blocks north of Spain and turn right (East) on Camero. You can park in the west end of the staff parking lot by the swimming pool or on Camero. Place distributed parking pass on dash. Concert Times: 8:30-9:10am and 9:25-10:05am. Parents may attend concerts. Pick up Time: 10:15am. Attire: Students are to wear nice blue jeans with their program t-shirts. T-Shirts will be passed out at Eisenhower. What to Bring: What you would normally bring to a regular rehearsal AYSP Notification: We will be sending a notification to your school asking that your absence be excused.
REGULAR REHEARSAL – WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 11TH
DRESS REHEARSAL – SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 3:00-4:30pm (REQUIRED)
Report Time: 2:45pm Location: National Hispanic Cultural Center - 1701 4th St SW, Albuquerque, NM 87102. Attire: Concert Dress Boys: Black suit jacket, white colored shirt, solid colored tie, black pants, black dress shoes and socks Girls: Black AYSP uniform dress and black shoes
CONCERT – SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 5:00pm (REQUIRED)
Report Time: Students are to stay after the dress rehearsal for the concert Location: National Hispanic Cultural Center - 1701 4th St SW, Albuquerque, NM 87102 Concert: 5:00pm End Time: Approximately 6:00pm Tickets: Ticket are $5.00 at the door. APS music teachers, children under 5, and students enrolled in AYSP are free for all regular AYSP concerts.
