ELEMENTARY STRING PROGRAM
We are excited to announce that starting in September of 2019, the Albuquerque Youth Symphony Program - in partnership with Albuquerque Public Schools and The University of New Mexico Department of Music - will add an Elementary String Program (ESP) to its robust educational offerings.
The ESP is a beginning string program open to students in grades 4-5 in the Albuquerque area interested in learning to play the violin, viola, or cello. Classes will meet twice a week after school at the AYSP building. Unlike AYSP's Preparatory String Orchestra, ESP is a beginning group class for students with no prior music instruction whatsoever. Students will begin their first class with an instrument "petting zoo," where they can try different instruments and choose the one they want to learn to play.
Please share the attached flyer with friends and any 4-5th grade students. They can register HERE
