Please review the following information carefully – it contains important details about the dress rehearsal and concert. Concerts and dress rehearsals are REQUIRED activities for participation in the AYSP. If for any reason you/your student may be absent, you must speak with your conductor to discuss the situation ASAP.
Dress Rehearsal – Saturday, April 27th, 3:50pm – 4:50pm (required)
Report Time: 3:15pm
End Time: 4:50pm
Location: Students should enter Popejoy Hall (very quietly – as JO will be on stage finishing their rehearsal) through the loading dock.
Go down the stairs to the right, to unpack instruments below stage Please keep cases against walls to walkways open.
At 3:40pm, your parent managers will lead you up the West Stairs to the stage.
After rehearsal, exit Stage Left and go down the West Stairs back to your cases.
Parents are welcome to sit in the auditorium and listen to the dress rehearsal.
Attire: Casual. We encourage students to wear any AYSP shirt.
Ticket Vouchers: AYSP student ticket vouchers will be handed out during dress rehearsal.
Concert – Sunday, April 28th, 3:00pm (required)
Report Time: 2:30pm
End Time: 4:30pm
Location: Students should enter Popejoy Hall through the loading dock and quietly go downstairs to meet your conductor/parent managers, as JO may still be finishing their concert. Unpack instruments and take instruments and music up the west stairs to the stage when directed by your conductor/parent managers, after the Marimba Ensemble performace.
After your portion of the concert, you will exit Stage Left/West Side with your instruments and sit in the audience with your conductor to listen to the Junior Symphony.
Tubas and Euphoniums should leave their instruments backstage.
You will pack up your instrument after the Junior Symphony concert.
Concert Attire: Concert Dress
Boys: Black dress pants, black dress shoes, black socks, white dress shirt.
Girls: White dress shirt, black ankle-length dress pants/skirt, black dress shoes.
Recording: Real Image Productions will be recording the concert. Video DVD’s can be ordered at the concert.
