Please review the following information carefully – it contains important details about the dress rehearsal and concert. Concerts and dress rehearsals are REQUIRED activities for participation in the AYSP. If for any reason you/your student may be absent, you must e-mail your conductor/s to discuss the situation ASAP.
Dress Rehearsal – Saturday, April 29th, 3:45pm – 4:30pm (required)
Report Time: 3:25pm
End Time: 4:30pm
Location: Students should enter Popejoy Hall through the loading dock on the south side of the building. Enter the auditorium quietly, unpack instruments, and wait to be called to the stage when rehearsal begins. Leave cases in the auditorium seating during rehearsal. Parents are welcome to sit in the auditorium and listen.
Attire: Casual. We encourage students to wear any AYSP shirt.
Ticket Vouchers: AYSP student ticket vouchers will be handed out during dress rehearsal.
Concert – Sunday, April 30th, 3:00pm (required)
Report Time: 2:30pm
Location: Students should enter Popejoy Hall (very quietly – as JO may be on stage finishing their concert) through the loading dock. You will proceed down the stairs where instrument cases will be stored. Meet Mr. Nesbitt for further instructions.
After your performance, you will exit Stage Right with your instruments and sit in the audience to listen to the Junior Symphony. You will pack up your instrument after the Junior Symphony concert.
Concert Attire: Concert Dress
Boys: Black pants, black shoes and socks, white collared shirt.
Girls: White dress shirt, black dress pants, socks and shoes. Girls may wear skirts if they fall below the knee when seated.
Recording: Real Image Productions will be recording the concert. Video DVD’s can be ordered at the concert.
