Happy New Year, Welcome to 2020!

Hello YCO Families -

To say that I am excited to get started on our spring program next week would be a mild understatement!  I certainly hope everyone enjoyed the holiday season and thanks to all who made this year's Luminaria campaign such a success.  Dr. Armstong and Mr, George are master organizers!

I had the great fortune to attend the Midwest Clinic in Chicago right before Christmas.  I heard some wonderful performances including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra under Maestro Edo DeVaart who has also conducted the Santa Fe Opera.  I have been listening to a bunch of tunes trying to  finalize our spring program and it would be great if we could add more musicians to this already wonderful ensemble.  If you have a friend or two who you think should be with us please have them contact me - david@aysmusic.org

We will also be contacting the area band and orchestra directors and I am hoping to visit a campus or two.  Maybe yours!

All are welcome, but it would be great to add more brass and percussion.  That would really open up some great options for our spring program.

Best wishes as the spring semester begins.  Get those chops going, we'll be doing a bunch of reading next week!
