PATRICIA MORRISON

Elementary String Project: Level 1 Instructor

Patricia Morrison is a passionate musician and dedicated music educator who enjoys helping students discover their love for music. Her music journey began in her middle school orchestra where she learned the violin and cello and has not looked back ever since! Originally from Virginia Beach, VA, Patricia earned her Bachelor’s of Music degree in Music Education from James Madison University in May 2021. Recently, she graduated with a Master’s degree from the University of New Mexico in String Pedagogy and Cello Performance.
In her teaching, she works with students of all ages; from beginners to more advanced players. She believes that music should be fun and accessible to everyone, and her teaching style is all about creating a positive, encouraging environment where students feel inspired and welcomed to grow at their own pace.
Patricia is currently teaching middle school orchestra with Albuquerque Public Schools, runs a violin and cello duo, and teaches private cello lessons. When not teaching or performing, she loves to cook, travel, play ‘cozy’ video games and spend time with her fiance Zach and energetic cattle dog, Orla.
