NO REHEARSALS ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 26TH
There are no regular YO rehearsals again until January 11, 2016. Students who elected to participate in the Joy Junction Concert begin required rehearsals November 2. If you are interested in participating in the Joy Junction concert and have not yet signed up, please email Cynthia@aysmusic.org.
HIGH SCHOOL TOUR – TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 10 (REQUIRED)
As indicated in your registration materials, AYSP high-school ensembles will be performing at an APS school this season. This is REQUIRED for all students in the Youth Orchestra. This year, the Youth Orchestra will be performing at Highland High School. Date: Tuesday, November 10 Report Time: 7:30am Location: Highland High School PAC – 4700 Coal Ave. SE.
Cross Streets are San Mateo and Central - Phone number is 265-3711 Directions: From San Mateo head South over Central. Turn right (West) on the street called Highland, it is by a Walmart. Turn left at the fence, and you will see the PAC to your left (South). The PAC is near the swimming pool marked by a sea serpent entrance.
Drop off and pick up is highly recommended, but students may drive and park at the school. If you are parking, you must fold this paper and put the “parking pass” on your dash. Concert Time: 8:00-9:00am. In the audience will be the school’s music department. Parents may also attend. Pick up Time: 9:15am Attire: Students are to wear nice blue jeans with their program t-shirts. We will send out an email when the shirts are available for pick up at the AYSP office. Shirts not picked up, will be taken to Highland on the day of the tour for students to wear. What to Bring: Students MUST bring folding music stands, music, and any accessories they need to perform. The parking pass which is included and attached to this Read and Heed.
