There is a MANDATORY parent meeting this Sunday, August 12, 2018 from 2:00pm – 2:30pm at the AYSP facility.
The luminaria fundraiser is an AYSP tradition! Every season since 1981, AYSP students and families fold, sell, assemble, and deliver thousands of dozens of luminarias across the Albuquerque metro area to raise funds. All AYSP students and families volunteer during the luminaria fundraiser. Each student will fold 15dz (180 bags). All 8th grade students and families volunteer during Luminaria Day on Saturday, December 8, 2018. Making luminarias at several workhouses kindly hosted by AYSP families and orders are delivered by AYSP parents who sign up as delivery drivers. All 4th grade – 7th grade students and families volunteer during our Luminaria Open House at the AYSP facility by making luminarias and assisting customers with their pick-up orders. – luminaria fundraiser dates are listed on each ensemble’s season calendar.
Thank you to our parents Diane Lopez, Misti Oracion, Meredith Ryan, and Marisa Wagner, who have volunteered as Parent Managers this season! Our Parent Managers play a critical role in communication between parents and AYSP staff and their support allow our conductors to focus on their role as music educator. THANK YOU!
