AYSP Playathon Program
On Friday, February 18, 2022 from 4-7 pm MT, the Albuquerque Youth Symphony Program will host its second-ever Virtual Playathon! This three-hour fundraising event will feature previously recorded performances by current and former AYSP students performing solo and chamber music works, as well as recently recorded AYSP ensembles performing onstage at Popejoy Hall and other local venues.
While the Virtual Playathon will feature pre-recorded performances, the event itself will be a live event co-hosted by AYSP’s Music Director and Youth Symphony conductor, Dan Whisler, along with Classical 95.5 KHFM radio hosts Brent Stevens and Alexis Corbin. Participating students will be eligible to win fun prizes for raising funds for AYSP by creating their own individual fundraising accounts, and audience members will be able to make tax-deductible donations to AYSP before, during, and after the program.
